Mount Olivet Homes' Auxiliary (MOHA)
The Mount Olivet Homes’ Auxiliary (MOHA) was organized by Pastor Reuben K. Youngdahl, September 14, 1960, soon after Mount Olivet Home opened. Dedicated to enriching the lives of children, residents and people with developmental and other disabilities, Auxiliary members volunteer their time and demonstrate their love and support for the people served by Mount Olivet Day Services, Mount Olivet Home, Mount Careview Home and Mount Olivet Rolling Acres.
Over the years, the Mount Olivet Homes’ Auxiliary has raised funds through annual events like the Fall Bazaar, Spring Garage Sale, specialty food sales and their new event, initiated in 2006, the Summer Gala. In addition, they operate the Mount Olivet Careview Home gift shop. Annually, proceeds are equally divided among the four organizations. Throughout their 50-year history, the Mount Olivet Homes’ Auxiliary has raised nearly $1 million!
Residents living at Mount Olivet Home and Mount Olivet Careview Home enjoy a monthly birthday party, complete with whipped cream cakes and coffee, provided and served by Auxiliary members. Special entertainment completes the party.
