Ways to Make an Outright Gift

Every gift of any size makes a difference and helps improve the quality of life of those we serve.

Outright Gifts
These include cash, checks, credit cards, payroll deduction through employer, matching gifts, or appreciated assets like stocks or bonds. Outright gifts can be made “in memory of” or “in honor of” someone special and can be undesignated for general purposes or designated for a special need. Be sure to provide the name of any person being remembered and if you want us to notify someone of your gift. Please include the address of people being notified.

To send a check, please drop off or mail your check to the organization you want to designate your gift to:

Donor-Advised Funds
If you have a donor-advised fund, please consider making a gift through your fund. Which may be designated for a program or project which fits your interests.
Payroll Deduction and Matching Gifts
Some companies offer a matching gift program for charitable giving. Check with your employer to see if you can make a payroll deduction gift.
Gifts of Appreciated Assets
These gifts include stocks or bonds. Please call the development office at 612.821.3151 with any questions. There can be tax advantages to this kind of gift. Always contact your financial advisor before making this kind of gift.
The Charitable IRA Rollover
The Charitable IRA Rollover is another way to make an outright gift. You must be 70 ½ years old to make this kind of gift and the check must be made out to the charity to qualify. Contact your financial advisor to know if this will work for you. Click here for more information.
