The goal of our therapeutic recreation program is to help residents continue leading an active lifestyle based on their interests, preferences and abilities. Residents are encouraged both to participate in structured programs and to pursue independent leisure activities. Our staff provides a fun and loving environment where residents feel connected and engaged.
A variety of programs are offered and adapted to best meet the needs of each resident. On-site programming includes intergenerational programs and spiritual programs, active and board games, baking, crafts, music activities, weekly entertainment, special meals, pet visits, holiday celebrations and other events including monthly birthday parties that are sponsored by the Mount Olivet Homes’ Auxiliary.
Off-site programming includes a variety of activities like outings to sporting events, bowling alleys, nature centers, scenic drives, area lakes for fishing and boating, shopping centers and restaurants.
Programming is provided seven days a week. Monthly program calendars are posted throughout the facility, with daily schedules available to all residents.
