Not included in the daily rates are charges for: prescription drugs, oxygen, speech therapy, restorative physical therapy, occupational therapy, laboratory tests, physician services, dental services, beauty shop charges, clothing tags and some medical equipment.
Residents are charged for the day of admission and are not charged for the day of discharge. A full refund for all unused bed days will be made in the event of death or discharge.
Subsequent to admission, residents may hold a bed by paying 60% of the daily rate for a 2-bed room or the full private room rate, which ever applies, while the resident is out of the facility.
Medical Assistance (TITLE XIX) recipients receive up to 18 paid bedhold leave days per year while in the hospital. Therapeutic leave days other than for hospital stays are also allowed up to 36 days per year. For details please consult the business office or the social service staff.
Nursing care charges are billed in advance.
Charges are payable by the 20th of the month. Arrangements for an extension of time may be made with the business office in special circumstances. Collection costs and a late charge of 3% of the outstanding monthly balance will be assessed for past due accounts.
Notification of changes in charges will be given to the resident or financial representative when Mount Olivet Home and Mount Olivet Careview Home are informed by the state of Minnesota. Any retroactive rate adjustment due to an appeal settlement, a change due to quarterly assessment, or a reclassification as a result of a hospital stay will not require advance notice of change.
